Frequently asked questions
Which churches/schools have students are currently taking XIBI courses?
As of June 2021 we have students signed up in California, Viginia and Tennessee. Overseas we have students in Tanzania and India.
I'd like to become a student. Is there a cost to take classes with XIBI?
Yes, but we look for ways to provide scholarships. We look for folks who could donate and help us cover expenses. Although XIBI is a non-profit organization, we do have maintenance and supply costs. For instance, some mission fields may need a specific type of technology for their Institute students in order to take the courses. In other places, we must accomodate where the internet is weak or non-existent.
If you have financial needs, please contact us. It is the commitment of XIBI that everyone who wishes to take the one-year or three-year Bible course should have the opportunity and not let tuition costs get in the way. Scholarships are available.
Is XIBI accredited?
No, XIBI is not accredited and the courses you take with us cannot be transferred to a college or university in the United States. It is not our desire to become a brick-and-mortar campus with a liberal arts education. XIBI has been established to help the workaday person - whether at home or abroad - to learn the Scripture in an easy and meaningful way so that he or she may have a fuller understanding of God's Word and possibly become a Bible teacher or leader.
How many semesters are there in the XIBI three-year course?
We divide the teaching classes into trimesters (meaning three semesters per year). The Bible student is required to complete (with a passing grade) a total of nine (9) semester course plue one (1) summer course in order to receive a Three-Year Graduation Certificate.
How old must I be in order to take XIBI courses? Are there age restrictions?
Students taking courses at XIBI must be at least fifteen (15) years of age. There is no age cut-off as far as "being too old". We love senior citizens!
